If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the public, thus leading them to search the Scriptures. Missionary work–introducing our publications into families, conversing, and praying with and for them–is a good work and one which will educate men and women to do pastoral labor.–Testimonies, vol. 4, p. 390. (1880) {CM 7.1}

In a large degree through our publishing houses is to be accomplished the work of that other angel who comes down from heaven with great power, and who lightens the earth with his glory.–Testimonies, vol. 7, p. 140.

The time has come when a large work should be done by the canvassers. The world is asleep, and as watchmen, they are to ring the warning bell to awake the sleepers to their danger. The churches know not the time of their visitation. Often they can best learn the truth through the efforts of the canvasser. Those who go forth in the name of the Lord are His messengers to give to the multitudes who are in darkness and error the glad tidings of salvation through Christ in obeying the law of God.–Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 315. (1900) {CM 10.2}

When school closes, there will be an opportunity for many to go out into the field as evangelistic canvassers. The faithful colporteur finds his way into many homes, where he leaves precious reading matter containing the truth for this time.–Review and Herald, Aug. 27, 1903. {CM 31.1}

When church members realize the importance of the circulation of our literature, they will devote more time to this work. Papers, tracts, and books will be placed in the homes of the people, to preach the gospel in their several lines. . . . The church must give her attention to the canvassing work. This is one way in which she is to shine in the world. Then will she go forth “fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners.”–Manuscript 113, 1901.

The dissemination of the truth of God is not confined to a few ordained ministers. The truth is to be scattered by all who claim to be disciples of Christ. It must be sown beside all waters.–Review and Herald, Aug. 22, 1899. {ChS 68.3}

“What can I do to proclaim the third angel’s message?” Christ came to this world to give this message to His servant to give to the churches. It is to be proclaimed to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. How are we to give it? The distribution of our literature is one means by which the message is to be proclaimed. Let every believer scatter broadcast tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time. Colporteurs are needed who will go forth to circulate our publications everywhere.–Southern Watchman, Jan. 5, 1904. {ChS 145.2}

“As long a probation continues there will be an opportunity for the canvasser to work.” 6T 478

I wish to tell you that soon there will be no work done in ministerial lines but medical missionary work. The work of a minister is to minister. Our ministers are to work on the gospel plan of ministering {Ev 523.3}

Canvassers should be able to give instruction in regard to the treatment of the sick. They should learn the simple methods of hygienic treatment. Thus they may work as medical missionaries, ministering to the souls and the bodies of the suffering. This work should now be going forward in all parts of the world. Thus multitudes might be blessed by the prayers and instruction of God’s servants. {6T 324.1}

Program Descriptions

Lead/Marketing Distribution Team
This group is a major part of the ALL IN team. Every Sunday and any other day of the week that the local team decides, they will gather for a morning walk and distribute lead cards and glow tracts. Though this is mostly a volunteer service, the lead distributor would be rewarded financially if any of their leads become a sale for the colporteur.

The Adult Magabook Program (L.E.)
This program will function much like the industry program for the youth. We will take a few committed adults and a few of our Adventist youth who do not go to our schools but are desirous to learn this work and develop their skills. They will go out every Sunday and possibly an additional day in the week.

Gospel Medical Missionary Evangelist (GMME)
Ultimately, this is where we would like the majority of our canvassers to end up. Our target recruits would be professionals, especially in the health or sales fields. These persons would hold health seminars, consultations, give massage therapy, teach natural remedies, and more. The GMME would make available their resources and their expertise with those they find to assist.

Glow/Free Literature Distribution Program
This program can be implemented at any church desirous to proclaim God’s message through literature. The concept is simply that a church would adopt a neighborhood and leave free literature at each home. The church would decide on a series of literature to leave in the community over the period of 10 weeks, then they would simply go and knock on doors and give the literature away as a gift. Upon the third or fourth visit, they would ask if the resident had a prayer request. Upon the tenth visit, they would ask or encourage personal Bible studies from persons that have received the literature.

Summer Blitz Canvassing Program (S.B.)
The ALL IN Summer Blitz is designed to be a powerful experience for the youth of the church. Working 4 Christ, Make Friends 4 Life, and Growing Closer 2 Christ are to be the positive experiences of each youth. Students will be compensated from the sale of the books along with additional scholarships given by our Seventh-Day Adventist Institutions.

Industry Program (I.P.)
This program is designed to engage the youth at an early age in the literature ministry and assist them in paying for Adventist Christian education. This experience should be positive and seen as a stepping stone into the Summer Blitz program.

Year Round Blitz Program (YRB)
This is a key component of the revival of the literature evangelistic work here in the Northeast. By taking a few quality missionaries we can show the validity of the work. This group would consist of converted persons who may have attend our missionary training schools, or committed persons who have a true heart for evangelistic canvassing. These workers would be housed by Tekoa Missions.

Each program is unique, but you can choose where you would like to begin. There will be continuous education and training for those who take up God’s work. Sign up for any of the programs and receive more information.
